Food & Hospitality Industry
I served in various Serving, Lead, and Supervisory capacities within the food & hospitality industry as a passion, occasional part-time. The majority of the restaurants were start-ups in which I assisted at the ground level through opening, branding, and building a new business. To name a few of the restaurants I worked: Pantastix (family-owned fine dining in Hobbs, NM), McCormick & Schmicks Harborside at the Marina (Portland, OR), Up Front Bar & Grill Fine Dining (Portland, OR), The Keg Steakhouse (Gresham, OR), Main Street Ale House Fine Dining (Gresham, OR), and Serranos Mexican Restaurant (Gresham, OR).I served as a Concession Volunteer at Jeld-Wen Field for the Portland Timbers games both 2011 & 2012 seasons. Food, soda and beer were served. I also worked the beer stands solo.I spent much time with my Grandfather who owned the Spot 79 for 18 years (Steakhouse & Tavern in Portland, OR) cutting meat in the outdoor cooler, and washing dishes. He owned, managed and bartended until his 3rd retirement, after retiring from the Oregon State Police, than from the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. He was a Man I admired and looked up to greatly. I learned a lot there as a child raised close in the industry.
