I love to find the big opportunities that have been overlooked and figure out how to create value.----------------------I grew up on a small farm in Maine. We didn't have the Interwebs or even a local BBS that I could dial, so I taught myself programming mainly to avoid working in the fields. It sort of worked on both counts. I still got stuck with farm work, which turned out to be writing database programs for my dad. My first entrepreneurial venture was to collect juniper berries (which grew on the back side of Hedgehog Hill). I started my first successful business when I was 16, a landscaping company, and my second at 18, a wholesale business. I always remind myself, no matter how tough the job, it's not as bad as haying.
