Conduct lectures, site visits and workshops on how the historic built environment shapes contemporary conceptions of space and place. By breaking down centuries of urban development by theme - agriculture, infrastructure, religion, education, commerce, government, industry, finance, housing and culture - we can better understand built forms as vestiges to be transformed. With the heritage industry booming, new tools and concepts are needed to clarify sustainable development strategies.
