Jamie is the General Counsel and a Managing Director of Emigrant Partners, the largest non-voting, minority capital partner in the wealth and alternative asset management space. Emigrant Partners currently has 19 growth-oriented partner firms collectively advising on over $100 billion of assets. Jamie is a corporate attorney with over 25 years of experience in managing mergers and acquisitions, private equity, participating debt, fund formation and other complex transactions. In addition to his role at Emigrant Partners, Jamie continues an of-counsel affiliation with Sterlington, a boutique law firm representing family offices and asset managers where he was a partner prior to joining to Emigrant Partners. Jamie started his career at large, international law firms in New York City and has served as senior in-house counsel for private equity fund managers. Jamie graduated from McGill University in Montreal with two law degrees with Great Distinction, and an MBA.
