After many years in architecture, Jacques accepted an offer to move to San Francisco to focus on PaaS and AI. He spent two years in Silicon Valley at the leading edge of these technologies, learning and helping companies large and small understand the new trends and directions in the technology. This was valuable time as Jacques rediscovered his passion, readjusted the direction of his career and refined the topic of his Doctoral Thesis.Having previously specialized in integration he had a clear grasp on connecting things and extended this into the ultimate IoT challenge - monitoring aircraft gas turbine engines and predicting maintenance and possible failure modes. Data science and artificial intelligence brings great value to prediction models, providing the intelligent prediction capability that gives value to plain old integration (albeit integrating to aircraft). Jacques is highly regarded for his ability to communicate across both technology and business teams and has a talent for explaining complex technology concepts to business minds in a way that they understand.
