As an insolvency specialist, my role is to assist a range of stakeholders, including business owners, employees, lenders and shareholders, during highly stressful situations, to work out solutions within a rigorous and ethical frame work.Where formal insolvency services are not required, I will also take the time to understand the concerns of all parties and assist them speak to the appropriate person within the dVT Group, in order that they can achieve the highest serving outcome for their needs.

My role at Bentleys canvassed a range of formal personal and corporate insolvency appointments and included informal work such as advising directors on possible restructuring strategies, drafting expert witness reports and business valuations.The more complex corporate matters saw me negotiate cross border asset realisations, unwinding investment structures in foreign jurisdictions and commencing litigation proceedings in respect of third party breaches of the relevant legislation. More generally, my role regularly required me to take control of and sell residential property, which included the sub-division and development of a large land holding in Northern NSW. Tax and stamp duty considerations are often relevant in any transaction hence I am careful to ensure that a transaction is overseen by a trusted tax partner before completion.

Corporate recovery. Principally involved on the HIH liquidation; key tasks included enhancing business systems and processes, discovery work for a major litigation action and assisting with recovering the reinsurance asset.
