(Corporate Banking Department – Global Corporate, Team Lead, Credit Analyst Department)Responsibilities:-•Supervise a team of 3 analysts that mainly covers corporate clients in oil & gas, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, power & utilities, constructions of property and infrastructure, financial institutions and manufacturing.•Handles a personal industry portfolio of hospital & healthcare services provider and related support services, financial institutions and asset management companies, with the same set of roles and responsibilities as a team player.•Motivates and co-ordinate the team to meet the collective department goal to achieve timely regular review (one month ahead of due date) and 7 working days for new cases. •Review the work of team analysts to ensure meeting the internal policies and requirements. •Enhance credit quality of the team’s output through discussion and co-working with research & analytics and internal credit reviewers.

(Corporate Banking Dept – Global Corporate, Credit Analyst)Responsibilities:-•Prepare credit application/ annual review for corporate loans, market risk and derivatives instruments to existing/ new corporate clients for industries in oil & gas, sovereign wealth fund, aviation & healthcare. •Prepare borrower rating assessment, regular review, extraordinary event review on existing/ new corporate clients.•Joint client call visit with Relationship Manager for potential deal, courtesy call and periodic monitoring and assessment of business or financial performance. •Monitor and ensuring new/ annual review for corporate loans and regular borrower rating are completed within stipulated time line.•Conduct daily news updates from media, news releases or general publication or public domains of existing corporate clients, thereafter sharing with relevant parties and carry out necessary risk assessment of any potential adverse impact to the client. •Reconcile and ensuring agreements are in accordance to the terms and conditions approved by our credit approving division.•Periodic monitoring and control of covenants to ensure compliance to the conditions executed in the agreements and approved by our credit approving division. Achievements:-•Reestablish credit confidence credit approving office on two major oil & gas conglomerates through exhaustive stress test on the corporates financial performance for the next 3 financial years. Credit approving office excessive conservative stance on current oil & gas turmoil has restricted business promotion activity and thus, the need of us defending these major corporate clients under their excessive conservative radar. •Successfully completed annual reviews of corporate loans and borrower rating for existing clients and assessments for new applications within the stipulated time line.

(Corporate Banking Dept – GLCs & Local Corporate)Responsibilities:-•Resume to assignment as Relationship Manager in Corporate Banking after the International Assignment. Our active participation in sizeable amount has propelled BTMU corporate name to Top 10 in the syndication league table for 2014.

(International Assignment– International Credit Division, Overseas Credit Approving Office)Responsibilities:•Evaluate and analyze credit proposal submitted by Business Promotion Centre for new and/ existing customers from overseas offices from Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand, Pakistan and India, and recommend to management for approval •Conduct internal borrower rating assessment to evaluate financial standing of new and/or existing customers.•Prepare industry report in oil & gas and oil palm plantation industry to support credit officers’ assessment and as reference for overseas offices. Achievements:•Efficiently turnaround credit assessment within stipulated time line of over 90 cases of regular review and new applications for corporate loans and borrower ratings during 1H 2013 of the assignment. •Produced two industry reports on oil & gas and oil palm plantation players in the South East Asia region. These reports are concise and comprehensive, to be utilized by overseas offices for evaluating new business targets or review of industry viability for existing clients.

(Corporate Banking Dept – Government-linked Companies & Local Corporate)Responsibilities:•Manage and monitor portfolio of government linked corporates and local conglomerates in oil & gas, power & utilities, financial institutions, provident fund and property & development industry.•Source for new loans from new and/ or existing customers.•Cross-sell and coordinate with product offices, affiliates or related parties for project finance, debt capital market, forex and derivative.•Prepare credit application/ annual review of facilities for corporate loans to existing/ new corporate clients.•Maintain good customer relationship management with regular visitation to customer’s premises.•Control customer’s fundamental documents and security documents•Arrange instruction to operational sections for customer’s credit transaction.Achievements:•Most Valuable Staff Award, April 2010 (Winner) - Inaugural corporate financing for acquisition of hotel property in Hokkaido, Japan. Notwithstanding that hotel property financing is considered negative industry by our Bank, we manage to secure the approval through detail research on location, occupancy rate, tourism traffic in the area, and joint effort in monitoring the property viability with our Japan counterpart. •Pioneer to establish corporate relationship with 3 new core players in property development and construction & infrastructure within one year time, to realize the vision of our Regional Head to expand property, construction and infrastructure loan asset base.•Spearheaded the first cross-border Islamic Financing of our Bank that involved purchasing loan assets from the Middle East. Collaborated closely with our London office and internal divisions on workflow & procedures, credit processing, documentation, accounting treatments, cross-border and Shariah compliance.

(Corporate Banking Dept - Japanese Corporate)Responsibilities:•Manage and monitor portfolio of corporate Japanese conglomerates in automotive & auto-parts, hire-purchase & leasing, printing ink, retail & departmental stores, and golf sport equipment. •Source for new loans from new and/ or existing customers.•Cross-sell and coordinate with product offices, affiliates or related parties for project finance, debt capital market, forex and derivative.•Prepare credit application/ annual review of facilities for corporate loans to existing/ new corporate clients.•Maintain good customer relationship management with regular visitation to customer’s premises.•Control our customer’s fundamental documents and security documents•Arrange instruction to our operational sections for customer’s credit transaction.Achievements:•Executed the pilot Islamic Financing (Murabaha) of our Bank with an automotive client. Active participation in the entire process from collaborating with Islamic product specialist in pitching, credit assessments for obtaining credit approval, Shariah compliance, negotiation of terms on documentation, and watch through operational matter until the loan release successfully. This transaction has provided a comfortable platform for more Islamic product promotion as it has set precedent in manual, procedures and processes. •Successfully obtained mandate and ensure smooth launching of domestic cash pooling exercise for a printing ink client with its 3 subsidiaries. This is the second cash pooling successfully launched but with enhanced features from the first executed more than 5 years ago.

(Loan Administration Dept)Responsibilities:•Dual-control on due dates of credit maturity, covenant testing, credit conditions, instructions and report required of corporate customers.•Manage and safe-keep of fundamental documents and security documents.•Monitor and report of customer large loan exposure and single customer limit.Achievement:•Converted the credit facilities, security/ collateral and fundamental document master control from Microsoft Excel to Access database to mitigate data input errors, enhanced and speed up data filtering for various reporting requirements. •Spearheaded the project to upgrade the Access database to in-house IT-developed database, working closely with the programmer on building the programming framework. The upgraded version is more user-friendly, efficient and effective in generating reports and enhanced security level to protect the accuracy of the data.

Responsibilities•Attend and trouble-shoot credit card call centre inquiriesAchievement:•Assisted credit card holders inquiries in distress situations, eg : step-to-step guidance to access cash using the Amex card in overseas for emergency use, guidance in managing unauthorized or forgery transaction, guidance to next of kin on treatment of outstanding bills of their deceased family member.
