I am a woman who has achieved most of my goals throughout life. Yes, I have had to reevaluate them on many occasions, as life throws us curveballs - and even some spitballs. My positive and optimistic outlook in both my personal and professional life has seen me through all of them so far. I have had over twenty-five years of management experience and challenges. At the top of my list for the work I enjoyed most, was the four years I taught a Professional/Career Development course.This is probably due to the fact that I strive on impacting other’s lives, in a positive way. I prefer to achieve a balance between concern for the people on my team and the accomplishment of the task. I am often described by my coworkers as professional, with integrity and exceptional work ethics. My mentor (and you should all have one) is younger than I am. I am not against change, but I do not think that all change is good. My mentor has the ability to show me things in a way that motivates me to be better, or should I say to see the reason to “adapt” in this ever-changing world. On several personality tests, I am as much an Extrovert as I am an Introvert; Realistic as I am Imaginative; Logical as I am Open-Minded; and Scheduled as I am Spontaneous. Strengthfinders list my top five personality strengths as: Woo (impacting others), Input (seeking facts, information, concepts and principles), Learner (the ability to learn in many areas), Achiever (tremendously motivated, driven, and determined), and Responsibility (person of your word, and people trust you).Although I am proud of what I have accomplished in life, it isn’t about what we have done, but more about what we plan to do next.
