Jack Smith has over thirty years training and consulting experience with hundreds of nonprofit and public organizations throughout the US. His consulting experience is grounded by a decade of senior management experience with large multi-program nonprofits.He currently teaches the grant writing certificate programs at the Austin Center for Nonprofit Studies, University of North Florida, Western Carolina University and the University of Maine. He regularly teaches for the San Antonio Area Foundation, Texas Municipal League and the University of New Hampshire.In 2011 and 2012, he taught advanced grant writing programs to African public health officials. The training programs were located in South Africa and Ethiopia and were sponsored by the African Society for Laboratory Medicine and the US CDC.Past grant writing training clients have included the Cherokee Nation, NY Department of Housing and Community Renewal, Emory University, US Department of Education, Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Duke University and National Association of School Nurses.Jack Smith has a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Maine. His housing development work has received a national citation from the US Department of Energy.
