Jason Crabtree is the CEO of QOMPLX, where he leads an effort focused on unified Identity Threat Detection and Response, Attack Surface Monitoring and broader open XDR capabilities that include real-time streaming analytics. He has an extensive background in developing next-generation operational risk management and situational awareness tools and information sharing in multi-spatial, multi-temporal distributed systems across a variety of civilian, defense and intelligence applications. QOMPLX harnesses data to provide unified visibility into cyber risks and ensure trust in identity. QOMPLX solutions reduce cyber risk and attack surfaces by both mapping exposures and performing real-time detection of attacks. This increases network observability by closing the largest remaining gaps in cybersecurity: identity verification, attack surface management, cross-tool data fusion, and data interoperability. QOMPLX defends some of the world's most renowned brands by re-establishing trust for client organisations, assuring authentication, and enabling confident security decisions. Jason previously served as a Special Advisor to senior leaders in the defense cyber community, with responsibilities ranging from policy advice and operational support, to research direction and technology transition with partners across the Intelligence and Defense enterprise. He is a licensed professional engineer and complex adaptive systems aficionado with a strong background in modeling, simulation, and data analysis who is currently focused at the nexus of cyber security, critical infrastructure, and operational risk management. He also serves as a contributor and consultant for global strategic analysis and geopolitical risk management firms including Oxford Analytica. He has been an invited participant, panelist and speaker on energy, risk management, finance, and security for organizations including the Casualty Actuarial Society, FS-ISAC, Financial Services Roundtable, the Center for New American Security, the Markle Foundation, the Ditchley Foundation, the Gridwise Architecture Council, and RAND in both the United States and United Kingdom. Jason has also worked extensively on large-scale cyberspace modeling, analysis, and risk management technology research, to include supporting work within the Defense Advance Research Agency's cyberspace portfolio. Jason was also a 2014 Cyber Policy Fellow with the Madison Policy Forum in New York City and a former Cyber Fellow for New America.He is also an inventor on ~90 US Patents (issued/allowed) with dozens more pending.
