Worked on front-end development in HTML/JavaScript/C# as part of the UI implementation team. My position requires fast paced front-end desktop application development on a large scale distributed team. In this position I work closely with the UX and Infrastructure teams to bring the designs and features together in the UI. I was the build engineer for many of our core software products while working on the Windows Software Engineering Team. In this position I was responsible for creating and maintaining the automated build process to run the compilation and packaging of our products. I was responsible for fixing or locating compilation and run-time errors. Many times the build processes would need to be run across multiple machines to support different versions of our software, including major releases and service packs, and also to support different machine architectures.On this team I had the opportunity to lead the development efforts of porting a core C++ 32-bit product to 64-bit Windows on IA-64 and x64. I was also responsible for authoring and maintenance of several product installations that included utilizing commercial installation authoring software and handwritten custom installation tools. I was in charge of running and automating our daily testing regressions for some of our core products. I led the technical efforts to move the entire company over to TeamCity as our continuous integration server and central build infrastructure. This effort involved porting legacy build processes over to newer tools and integrating them into TeamCity. I was also involved with the roll out plan, architecture of the build system within this environment, and training of personnel. Intern in Software Development, Special Projects Group.Main project goal was to wrap a legacy VMS application so that it could be accessed via Windows desktops as opposed to VAX terminals. The process involved writing custom RPC calls using C and FORTRAN to gain access to the database that was housed on the VAX mainframe. Once the data was extracted, it was served out on a Linux web server.
