About Jason Socha
With many years' experience in coding for the web, I am proficient in many of the major (and several of the minor) languages and standards that make the web useful. I specialize in PHP and JavaScript development and tend to focus on server-side work. My general goal is to have a good time making the web useful.I earned my stripes doing custom dev for several shops & countless clients. In the late 00's, I was into some top slots, leading development on large / high-profile projects.In 2011 I started Socha Dev, an A-Team of developers providing development help and other services for agencies & dev teams. After 6 years I merged that company with Taoti Creative in Washington DC. After a year serving as Taoti's director of dev, I branched out freelance again.Things I'm best at: Problem solving, triage, project management, system design/architecture, PHP, JavaScript, and data structure. I have done a ton of Drupal work. Over the years I have coded professionally in PHP, JS, Python, C#, Ruby, Perl. I also did some ColdFusion apps way back, but we don't talk about the dark times.* I count from 1996 when I made my first HTML page and soon discovered that people would pay me to do that.
