The BlueGreen Alliance is a national alliance of labor unions and environmental organizations, founded by the United Steelworkers and Sierra Club in 2006, which has grown to include 14 organizations, representing millions of members and supporters.My role is to bring together the Bay Area's oil refinery workers, unions, environmental justice and refinery-impacted community groups and allies across government and industry to envision economic development pathways and a healthy future for the Bay Area and Contra Costa County specifically as the region transitions to clean energy. I also provide assistance in statewide planning, policy, and advocacy efforts pertaining to the clean energy transition.
