The CUNY NYC Tech-in-Residence Corps is an innovative program that connects industry professionals from the NYC tech ecosystem with Computer Science faculty and students at The City University of New York (CUNY), the nation's largest urban public university system. As a Practitioner in Residence, the role involves collaborating with CUNY faculty to develop and teach courses that bridge the gap between academia and industry, bringing valuable skills and real-world experience into the classroom.Practitioners in Residence have the opportunity to work with talented and diverse students from across the CUNY system, providing them with direct exposure to industry professionals and hands-on projects. By sharing insights and experiences from the field, Practitioners help students gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of their coursework and prepare them for successful careers in the tech industry.The program has enrolled over 1,000 students, facilitated 51 courses across 9 CUNY colleges since Spring 2018, and comprises 60 Corps Members from 45 companies. As the NYC Tech-in-Residence Corps expands into the Health, Business, and Finance sectors, Practitioners in Residence play a crucial role in empowering the next generation of tech leaders and innovators, contributing to the overall economic mobility and diversity of New York City's tech workforce.

[Trilogy Education Acquired by 2U]During my time at Trilogy Education, I had the opportunity to contribute to an exciting phase of growth and transformation. I was part of the team during our Series A and B funding rounds, where we raised $30 million and $50 million, respectively, to expand our skills-based training programs. We laid the foundation for our workforce acceleration platform, which ultimately caught the attention of 2U, Inc. I witnessed our $750 million acquisition by 2U—the largest in EdTech history—which significantly expanded 2U's offerings and increased their global partner portfolio. This was a strategic leap designed to strengthen our presence in the lifelong learning and corporate training market. My role in this transition was to ensure that our mission to empower university-run, student-tested, and employer-approved digital skill training programs was seamlessly integrated into 2U's broader vision, thereby accelerating their anticipated path to $1 billion in revenue. Being at the heart of such a significant transition was an invaluable experience, showcasing the critical impact of team collaboration and strategic foresight in navigating high-growth trajectories.
