Feed the Future Tanzania NAFAKA II (Cereals Market Systems Development) is a four-year USAID-funded program designed to develop efficient market systems to serve large numbers of rice and maize producers. NAFAKA II includes interventions in the following components: facilitating access to improved agricultural inputs; assisting producer organizations to facilitate business development services, and market systems facilitation. As part of ongoing project activities, the NAFAKA team focused on increasing the nutritional capabilities of local maize millers by providing grants to install maize fortification milling equipment (dosifiers) working with a local organization, Sanku. • Led troubleshooting, repair, and comprehensive analysis of fortification technology to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.• Implemented rigorous monitoring and enforcement of compliance measures to uphold quality standards and food safety regulations.• Effectively managed product inventory and equipment pipeline, ensuring timely procurement and distribution to meet project objectives.• Provided strategic support for program expansion initiatives, identifying opportunities and partnerships to broaden impact and reach vulnerable communities.
