• Led multi-disciplinary test development team that validated robust end-to-end payload testing for new spacecraft design within existing compact antenna test range facility. This resulted in retiring a high profile risk for the program and the company.• Failure Review Board (FRB) systems engineering lead of a high profile series of solar array on-orbit anomalies. Acted to keep conversations focused or wide ranging, depending on the circumstance.• Successfully led design team that developed an innovative payload component layout feature configuration.

• Systems Engineering Manager of dispersed team of system engineers, collaborating with mining engineers, physicists and civil design contractors to develop the architecture and initial set of requirements documents for the Deep Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory (DUSEL), an National Science Foundation large facility project. The team exceeded expectations at the PDR.

• Project manager for a foreign commercial satellite customer procuring bus and payload hardware in the US and Canada. • Identified mechanism failure root cause and developed the confirmation test thus allowing the vendor to correct the problem and remove liens on the hardware on multiple programs.• Authored verification test plan for the James Webb Space Telescope sunshield membranes. Was able to show NASA and Northrop Grumman the vendor had a viable test plan.

• Expert witness in stress analysis, fracture mechanics, machine design and materials for an investigation of a satellite on-orbit anomaly.

• Lead Systems Engineer responsible for day-to-day system engineering RF, electrical, mechanical and system test engineering tasks including spacecraft integration, thermal vacuum testing, launch readiness and launch base operations.• Wrote the Satellite Alignment Test Plan for several programs. Decomposed system level pointing requirements and allocated subsystem and component requirements.
