The caching implementation was based off the Ehcache framework: the solution was weaved into to a codebase spanning greater than 1,000,000 lines with 0 defects, estimated to be invoked more than 8k/sec during an average business day and resulted in the ability of the site to increase its number of simultaneous active users from an average of 90,000 to > 1,000,000.• Technical Architect/Design Lead for 'Remember Me' persistent cookie feature for StaplesAdvantage.com. The solution allows B2B customers to search for items and modify their cart with items/pricing specific to their negotiated contract. The feature resulted in a greater number of conversions by removing the purchase path friction associated with the previous requirement that customers be authenticated prior to being able to browse items and modify their cart contents.• Responsible for technical oversight for both on/off-shore junior team members. Responsible for their mentoring, technical guidance, and code-reviewing of their work.• Served as member of Staples Global eCommerce Platform Blueprint initiative whose goal is to build single platform serving the eCommerce mobile/desktop, POS and kiosk channels of business.• Streamlined, enhanced and standardized developer workstation setup and configuration by building all the requisite development tools, IDEs, etc into a portable VHD format.
