After realizing a professional football career wasn't going to happen (I was nowhere near good enough), I was stuck in a minor crisis in trying to figure out what to do next. I tried several studies and ended up with BA International Studies. Quickly I realized this too wasn't my thing, but persevered to graduate just to get the diploma. After finishing the 3-year bachelor program, I took a short sabbatical. At the end, I made the decision that made me go from being a BA Graduate from the University Leiden to a IT Trainee without any relevant education or experience. This might sound insane, but deciding to leave my comfort zone for complete unknown territory was fairly easy. The initial plan was to move around within IT to figure out what I would like to specialize in. This journey has been fruitful making me realize I want to focus on development. This is exciting because needs and wishes of people have to be presented in a creative solution with the use of code. In my short journey in IT I have met numbers of great hard core IT people. While they would agree I am green in experience, they would also vouch for my work ethics and ability to learn.Competencies: user awareness, proactive, fast learner, eager, flexible, international awareness, creative
