João Sena Ribeiro is a professional engineer working at IDENTITY since 2006, currently in the domains of critical systems, supercomputing, workspace and cloud computing. Born with a passion for technology and having almost two decades of experience in many IT areas, his competencies include topics as broad as software engineering and development, infrastructure (compute, storage and networking) and security.João has been involved in the design and implementation of several high-profile supercomputing architectures for various purposes (biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, physics, among others) and with varying dimensions. He has also participated in the design and implementation of high-availability clusters for some of the largest critical systems in Portugal and Spain, as well as of workspace solutions for key companies in Portugal and the United States, which collectively employ more than 50000 people. João has also designed networking, storage and computing architectures for several Portuguese private and governmental organizations, ranging from local to national scope.Based in Lisbon, Portugal, João has always loved to travel, loving big cities and "weird" new languages. He has a special interest in photography, always carrying a camera with him, even if it's only the one in his phone.
