Talkative is a communications technology company specialising in video and collaborationsolutions. The Company emerged from the Alacrity Foundation Entrepreneur Programme and isheadquartered in Newport, South Wales.

The Graduate Programme is designed to increase the prospects of success by providing the experience to develop a range of business skills and personal qualities. The Foundation achieves this by working with industry partners in identifying near to market business issues and challenges and asks members of the Programme to solve them.Members of the Programme typically work in teams of four comprising three engineers and a business graduate. Teams are immersed in a structure that provides intensive support in traditional business disciplines. The Alacrity Graduate Programme is a unique incubation experience because it is empathetic and places a premium on encouraging self-learning and educational advancement.

Over the course of the year I gained valuable experience which cannot be taught in a classroom. I was able to experience working life and had a chance to integrate into it. I also had a great opportunity to hone the skills which I already possessed. I believe I improved my report writing, communication and presentation skills most, through completing many presentations and reports during the year. While working on projects with the Quality Control team I developed my problem solving and team work skills. I believe I have also developed my interpersonal skills as I am more confident when speaking in room of strangers and senior staff during a meetings and also while delegating tasks to older employees. During my year I have had a chance to complete several training modules including “Basic Six Sigma”, “Health & Safety” and “EASA Part 145 and CAA Regulations”.
