I am a scholar currently pursuing a master’s degree of science in Information technology. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in information technology from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Uganda). I am a professional and experienced software engineer with a diversity of skills and knowledge in software development and information technology at large. The applicability of my skills and knowledge is vividly portrayed in the development of mobile applications for native and hybrid operating systems, development of desktop and web-based systems, software testing and analysis, API development and Integration in software systems, open-source server administration (LINUX/UNIX Servers), advanced database design and development. I am a full-stack developer with experience in working with various programming languages, frameworks, and database management systems. These include MySQL, Postgres, SQLite, Java, Kotlin, XML, Python, Django, PHP, Laravel, React, JavaScript, CSS, and others. My main objective is to use emerging trends in ICT such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to develop and implement technological innovations that provide solutions to problems facing communities, especially in low-resourced environment settings. My research area of interest is health where I assiduously develop ICT platforms to - automate the diagnosis and detection of diseases, provide and support the rendering of health services, provide remote patient-centered care, and support the making of clinical decisions.
