Jan Smyth is a Manager, Marketing; Industry Leadership and Advancement at The Culinary Institute of America. Colleagues describe her as "We represented Southcorp (now part of Foster's) which included Penfolds, Wynns and Lindemans, and later Mildara Blass, also part of Foster's, with Wolf Blass, Annie's Lane, Metala and Greg Norman. Both were active participants in the Wine Australia program Jan managed. Jan's role with Wine Australia was to support Brand Australia and she did an admirable job and was a solid partner supporting our efforts from the generic standpoint. She developed and managed effective programs in a challenging ennvironment, dealing with a variety of Australian wine producers and importers, I also knew Jan from her time with Trefethen, when I was part of Seagram Classics and directed public relations for Mumm Napa and Sterling, among others. She was a respected PR professional in the Napa Valley and a valued colleague."
