• Perform network changes and participate in the configuration and deployment of core and edge network devices.• Monitor the performance of the security appliances and make changes under direction of the departmental manager or his/her designee.• Monitor and recommend enhancements of the wireless infrastructure system.• Participate in the configuration and support of the VoIP phone system.• Participate in the configuration and support of the Wireless Infrastructure.• Monitor the performance of network devices and apply OS patches as approved by departmental policies.• Perform audits of the network configuration backup system to ensure nightly backups are completed as per departmental policy. Provide network and wiring support to slot vendors. • Provide for end to end connectivity through the termination of Ethernet cabling under the direction of the IT Infrastructure Manager or his/her designee.• Develop internal documentation about the network and its related connectivity, and acquire and maintain any vendor developed documentation relevant to assigned network hardware.• Other duties as assigned.
