Acted as test director by directing and performing both informal integration, anomaly investigations, fix verifications, as well as formal qualification and performance testing. Charged with pre-test coordination with RAIL test planners and stakeholders, scheduling of applicable RAIL test staff needed for testing, all pre-test coordination with the test staff, directing test through completion, including making any deviations or termination calls during testing.

Designed F/A-22 Raptor RCS Range upgrade to eliminate unwanted multiple bounce effect and to improve data quality. Defined scope of the project, explored design options, contacted microwave absorber vendors, received and tested samples in several test configurations, and coordinated stress analysis and installation efforts with selected contractor. Maintained project schedule and $375k budget. Designed, documented, coordinated fabrication of test articles, and tested articles in RCS Compact Range. Replicated damages and considered phenomenon observed on F/A-22 Raptor and assessed how these anomalies impacted the aircraft signature. Tested repairs of replicated damages and analyzed data to determine whether the repairs were acceptable for RCS.

Researched and tested patented Fiber Optic Bus Wavelength Division Multiplexing (FOBWDMTM) technology that transmits analog RF communication signals on optical fiber. Developed an internal fusion splicing process and trained employees to implement process. Modeled F-16 Fighting Falcon 1553 transmission line and bus coupler using simulation software to predict signal integrity on data bus. Simulated components based on existing C-130 Hercules component models and actual on-aircraft data.

Designed, developed, and documented newly designed electronic equipment, both flying hardware and support equipment. Development of hardware and software plus layout of printed wire boards. Created engineering documentation including drawing packages, functional test documents, and commercial handbooks. Input verification statements into Weapons Systems Air Vehicle specification using DOORS based on requirements from ORD for C-5 Reliability Enhancement & Re-Engining Program (RERP). Reviewed C-5 engine and APU wiring diagrams, coordinated with external groups to identify wiring removed as a part of RERP, and generated detailed pylon wiring inventory.Responsible for C-5 Accelerated TCAS RF cable selection and installation. Interfaced with vendors concerning requirements and made the final vendor selection having weighed several factors. Performed on-aircraft VSWR, insertion loss, and time delay tests.Modeled 1553 transmission line and bus coupler using simulation software to predict signal integrity on data bus. Simulated components based on existing C-130 component models and actual on-aircraft data.
