Working with the business to identify opportunities for improvement and apply leading practices to operations within the Commercial Property business. Engage all levels of staff and management to develop consistency of operations and enhance business efficiency through review and analysis of strategic business imperatives to develop a prioritised list of project based initiatives.

Reporting to the Divisional General Manager and the CFO, this was a leadership position and commercial partnering role to support the investment property trust. The focus was on implementing processes, systems & controls to support a growing business model. I then developed the role to become more focused on commercial support over time. The position was responsible for the budgeting, forecasting, financial control and consolidated reporting for the $2.3b investment portfolio.

Reporting directly to the group Financial Controller I had responsibility for the operational finance and shared services management for the Investment division across a +$5b portfolio. Leading a large team, my main focus was the delivery of timely and accurate financial and management reports, budgeting and forecasting, invoicing and accounts receivable, accounts payable, fee collections and general ledger maintenance.

The role provided detailed financial and budgetary input and support towards the development, implementation, operation and improvement of the functions, systems, processes and tools necessary to ensure that the clients strategic planning objectives were satisfied.

Reporting to the General Manager and the National Finance Manager I contributed to the business performance through the provision of financial information and analysis on the assets under management. Responsible for management reporting to the clients, including monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and any project analysis. Provided accounting and financial advice for operational issues as required.
