Deputy PdM Joint Logistics and Sustainment for a DX-rated program championed by the SECDEF. Maximized productivity of an annual -$1B logistics budget for all variants for all services. This included determining and acquiring spare parts blocks, training CONUS and overseas,technical management documentation, etc. Worked with finance to develop support plan and funding to cover in-country maintenance activities in Iraq and Afghanistan. This was transparent to the coalition military members fighting, however, funding was important to all countries under NATO leadership. I briefed the support concept at NATO HQ in Brussels. Variations included how support was finder for full NATO members, others, grants, lended vehicles, ensuring each type knew and understood how this would happen. I lead the effort to draft the logistics chapter of the transition document, transitioning from the Joint Program Office to the respective Service offices.

Demonstrated innovative and strategic thinking in transitioning a DLA developed tool to conduct Logistics Support Assessments for numbered OPLANs and support requirements and support ability assessments for contingencies. Having been a Marine Corps Plans Officer, I recognized this was not just a post plan development assessment tool; it was also a from end tool better than what I had used. This was specifically true for the “what if” module that provided rapid analysis of branch plans and determining the best courses of action. This tool won the 2007 Defense Modeling and Simulation Office Planning Tool Award. When I left this position, this initial internalTool was used by all geographic COCOMs for OPLANS and Contingency support.
