Within six months, I grew the supplier membership in the online marketplace from 300 to over 1500 suppliers. In the subsequent 12 months, my team negotiated and closed over $750 million in new joint supply deals that generated nearly $70 million in procurement savings for member railroads. In the same timeframe, the cash burn rate was 25% less than expected, and over $20 million in internet sourcing auctions were executed successfully.
