I had full P&L responsibility for the largest segment of SmithBucklin’s business representing the outsourced management of more than 50 client organizations with more than 160,000 corporate and professional members. Clients operate in the diverse business sectors of manufacturing, business-to-business and consumer services, distribution, hospitality, security, marketing services and print, insurance and banking, education, retail and others. The Business + Trade Industry Practice offers services including the chief staff executive and executive management, strategy, headquarters facilities and infrastructure, governance, business operations, member services, sales, marketing, advocacy and government relations, finance and accounting, IT, education services, and event management.I led all aspects of the Business + Trade industry practice and delivered high-quality services to client organizations. This included providing creative solutions to turnaround financial performance, improve overall operations, and reposition client organizations in the market. In this role I was responsible for a direct staff of 110, including 30 association CEO reports and 80 staff across two offices in Chicago and Washington, DC. I also had additional accountability for more than 200 specialized staff members within the practice. I recruited and hired seven new association CEO’s in just 30 months.In 36 months, I led the new client development process and approach that brought 11 new full-service management clients to SmithBucklin. This was achieved through building deep client relationships, establishing trust, and focusing on the genuine care and well-being of our client organizations and their volunteer leadership.Throughout my time in this role I was recognized as a change agent for expanding and improving service offerings and enhancing operational performance.
