• 2016 I coordinated the design & upgrade of WUWM’s primary automation system from AudioVault version 9.x to the latest version of AudioVault FLEX. This included the creation of the overall budget & working closely with Broadcast Electronics to spec out new necessary hardware. I solely installed all new equipment and wiring necessary for the new AudioVault infrastructure saving WUWM an estimated $15k.• 2014 I planned the design of WUWM Studio C Performance Studio, a $55k studio build to enable professional, digital multi-track recording sessions using Avid Pro Tools. The upgraded studio space allows for up to 24 individual tracks, recorded simultaneously with a mix of both out-board audio processors & digital plug-ins, comparable to other professional, musical recording studios.• 2010 I worked directly with WUWM’s chief engineer to coordinate & stage WUWM’s studio relocation. This included the installation of new equipment & the relocation of other in-use equipment to the new facility. Some of my specific duties included the entire station wiring of CAT6 & ethernet patch-bay routing for Internet connectivity & audio I/O via StudioHub equipment & Wheatstone Gen 6 Cage routers. I installed all wiring for the station’s overhead audio distribution with capabilities for switching between WUWM Primary audio, 24/7 Music & NPR Squawk channel. I soldered audio connections for both balanced & unbalanced audio connections, as well as punch connections for audio over CAT5 panels. I installed new Wheatstone Gen 6 audio consoles in WUWM’s three studios including the routing & patching of all outboard gear including cd players, 360 Systems Digicart, telephone hybrids & Telos Zephyr ISDN equipment. I also assisted with the installation of WUWM’s two Comtech 3.8 Meter C-Band satellite receive antennas, PRSS ContentDepot streaming decoders, Mosley STL & STL radio link to WUWM’s primary transmitter site & other audio signal processing and monitoring equipment.
