Australian Museum's role at the cultural and scientific heart of the city will be significantly enhanced with Project Discover, with a budget of $57.5 million, will drive the first stage of the Museum's transformation, set to open to the public in spring 2020.In 2022, the Australian Museum celebrated its 195th anniversary. Barangaroo Delivery Authority is a NSW Government agency in the Premier’s portfolio. It is responsible for managing the creation of an exciting new city waterfront precinct, bringing the government and private sector together to deliver world-class urban design, public domain and sustainability initiatives. Barangaroo is the most important reinvention of Sydney’s historic centre for decades. The precinct is a globally significant, 22-hectare, $6+ billion waterfront renewal project that redefines the western edge of Sydney Harbour. Following the acquisition of SSA and two additional companies, the organisation became a US$2.1 billion ERP solution provider. I was responsible for all aspects of IT service delivery, premises, and travel within the region, with a particular focus on acquisition integration and consolidation. I managed a team of 65 staff and a budget of US$25 million, reporting to the Global CIO (US-based) and collaborating with US IT project resources.Key Achievements:- Team Integration: Successfully merged four company teams into a single, centrally coordinated regional team.- Strategic Leadership: Matrix managed into the Regional President and served as a member of the Global IT Steering Board, executing business strategy.- Acquisition and Consolidation: Played a key role in the global acquisition strategy and was responsible for the regional execution of the consolidation process. This included designing a new strategic application stack for internal systems and consolidating network infrastructure, resulting in a $2.5 million reduction in regional P&L costs.- Premises Strategy: Secured board approval for a premises strategy, managing the closure of 28 out of 65 locations within 12-18 months, including all infrastructure consolidation.- Collaboration: Worked closely with regional management on IT system deployments and premises consolidations.
