I love ideas and practical progress. In much of my career I've been fascinated how technology -- especially digital technology -- changes companies, lives and society. I believe we are in revolution I call the Big Bang of Turing Reality -- after Alan Turing. When, in 1938, Alonzo Church, and Alan Turing both came up with the idea of an all purpose symbol lathe - called a digital computer, reality as we know it began to change. A whole new, computable, symbolic reality was born. We did not just have theories of flight, we have flight simulators. This big bang is expanding at an expanding rate. Internet of Things is making your home computable. Self driving cars are making driving computable. Facebook and Google are making cognition and social cognition computable. We are just at the beginning of this revolution and its implications for economics, power, politics and human growth are just starting to be explored. I also am familiar with a bunch of companies and disciplines given my generalist background...
