As a degree holder in English with a career spent working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) higher education, I have had more than 17-years experience collaborating with colleagues outside of my field and utilizing my communicative expertise to make their professional knowledge relatable and exciting to diverse audiences. I am highly confident in my ability to support all levels of personnel, from executives to entry-level staff, as well as manage projects from development to post-assessment. Career achievements include but are not limited to: - Leading executive communications, budget compliance, staff hiring/supervision, calendar management, travel planning, quarterly and annual evaluation/reporting, etc. as Program Manager for multiple projects totaling $1M+ annually, culminating in the development of the Center for the Advancement of STEM Teaching and Learning Excellence (CASTLE) at Drexel in 2014. - Executing up to 30 events for up to 1000 participants annually in collaboration with Senior Leadership, from individual VIP meetings to international conferences. Duties including agenda planning, speaker engagement, presentation development, facility/vendor contracts, A/V management, budgeting, sponsor agreements, etc. - Collaborating with more than 50 faculty through grant writing and proposal submission to secure $20M+ for STEM research, undergraduate scholarship, and graduate fellowship programs. - Cultivating relationships with donors and stewarding $600K+ in gifts to sustain STEM education programs beyond their grant life. - Co-authoring and presenting 15 papers and posters in reputable journals and conference proceedings.
