Transitioned to a supervisory position on a project to project basis while still producing technical work, usually splitting time between half a dozen to a dozen projects at a time. Consistently produce proposals with the intent of expanding local client-base and extending relationships with existing clients. Provide environmental consulting to several different kinds of industry and assist with state and federal environmental permitting and compliance. Help determine the applicability of various state and federal regulations, including National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) and the Green House Gas Mandatory Reporting Rule (GHGMRR). Majority of expertise lies with air dispersion modeling of Significant Impact Levels (SIL) and National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for all criteria pollutants, as well as experience with Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) modeling. Served various industries including pulp and paper mills, coal-fired electric utilities, car parts manufacturing, liquid petroleum refining, chemical manufacturing, oil refining, silica sand processing, munitions manufacturing, telecommunications, lime manufacturing, cement manufacturing, pesticides manufacturing, home goods manufacturing, landfills, and natural gas transmission compressor stations.

Evaluated microbiology levels and particle sizes of natural plating powders and reported to superiors, while proposing more effective methods of storage and processing. Researched Jetmill technologies and produced a proposal for purchase of two jetmills, which was approved. In charge of creating, testing and validating experimental dyes and pigments; successfully altered outside procedure that was causing failures prior. Lead designer of expansion pilot plant with involvement of three different company divisions, dozens of pieces of equipment and multiple equipment owners.Applied engineering skillset and problem solving skills at the process level to maximize efficiency by reducing failures and waste, effectively reducing total overhead cost and producing higher margin products for the company. Used chemical engineering expertise to redesign process flow diagram, increasing thermal effectiveness and integrating more cost effective equipment for liquid metal gasification power plant. Determined heat exchanger capacities. Created heat loss model of piping and reactor from pilot plant data. Created a reactor kinetics model to estimate component output from pilot plant data. Did cost-benefit analysis of selling steam to local businesses versus using all the steam to generate electricity.Integrated theoretical chemical engineering knowledge into practical applications with the end goal of choosing the most economically productive processes and equipment.

Helped develop web browser based service to map port locations, corridor distances, times of transportation, and market prices for major South American shipping routes. Founded back-end infrastructure to interface with an interactive website using a combination of Google Maps API, Java, CSS, HTML, and Ruby. Worked with partners in Bogota, Colombia for a week.
