► Started up the weekend shift operation, now a full-time shift in the DC, to support the increased service level demands for ecommerce orders across multiple brands.► Built a team from the ground up - managed the onboarding and training for a team of approximately 50 associates across multiple departments (MHE drivers, order picking, processing, and shipping).► Hired, developed, and mentored 3 team leads, empowering the team fast track their development of operational and leadership skills, and ultimately to run the shift on their own.► Oversaw the shift operation and execution of goals changing on a monthly basis, consistently hitting throughput targets under budget.

► Oversaw the outbound operation and managed the day-to-day routing activities - responsible for shipping goals of 500K-1M units monthly.► I managed an amazing team of 2-4 clerks to ensure that orders are booked and shipped in a timely manner, while working towards a monthly billing goal of $20-50M.► Part of the transition team responsible for moving all on hand inventory (100,000+ cartons) to VF Outdoor Canada's new distribution center - project completed in May 2018.

► I was accountable for coordinating pickups and deliveries through managing a fleet of over 100 drivers. This exposure allowed me to learn the ins and outs the trucking transportation industry & carrier operations, including a deep understand of the complexities involved in executing timely transportation.► In dispatch the action never stops - multitasking, quick decision making, and organization are the main skills I honed while finding mastering this role.

► As Sobeys expanded their business to service wholesale distribution accounts, an influx of returns resulted in a backlog of returns inventory and claims processing, which was ultimately having an impact on customer service and DC operations.► I took on this challenge through a 6 month contract position with the goal of getting the Vaughan RSC back up to speed in the Inventory Control Returns department. I put a process in place which enabled our team to process through $100,000's in inventory.

► While completing a Supply Chain Management Postgraduate Certificate, working part time in the field allowed me to apply many of the concepts learned at school to the operations I observed at the distribution center. Topics such as picking strategies, labour & space efficiency, helped me to identify potential areas for improvement and make recommendations to the operations management team.

► I was able to see the contrast in operations of two companies in the same industry - packaging & corrugate manufacturing. What I found most interesting is how some things can be almost identical, such as machinery and processes, while others can differ drastically, such as culture, management styles, and operational strategies.

► My first exposure to the the supply chain world left me really curious about the complexities of what goes on 'behind the scenes'.

► My passion for soccer led me to become a referee for a few summers. I enjoyed the learning aspect of the job and gained a new perspective of the game.
