Launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund a 10-week journey to Europe to document the Syrian refugee crisis as it peaked in 2015 with Sara Kerens.Traveled from Turkey across Europe to Germany interviewing, photographing, and meeting refugees and locals affected by the crisis.Wrote, designed, and produced a 256-page comprehensive and extensive account of the refugee crisis.Referenced in the New York Times, nominated for an ICP award in the Artist's Book category, and named Project of the Day by Kickstarter.

Redesigned the Mode Switcher in the passenger request flow which allows riders to pick from a menu of different ride options at a time when Lyft was expanding its product offerings. Developed a fully functioning prototype and lead multiple design reviews with the co-founders of Lyft.

Member of the Core iOS team. Implemented the first version of Instagram Ads on the iOS product side. Improved performance and experience of Instagram Videos in the feed, and helped explore early concepts around the Hyperlapse app.

Acquired by Facebook to work on the Facebook Phone (never launched) as a frameworks web engineer:- Implemented a high end gesture control system for the Facebook Phone- Implemented the standard UI components of the Facebook Phone- Awarded a patent for work on improving the reliability of touch systems systems on capacitive displays- Participated in conversations around core functionality of the Bolt.js framework used to build the applications on the Facebook PhoneOn the People, Pages & Things team:- Helped build the first native version of the Events product when Facebook rebuild the iOS app from HTML5>Native iOS- Helped establish and build a new Pages roadmap focused on separating the generic Pages product into different verticals, each focused on delivering value to the user unique to its category- Lead, coordinated, implemented, and launched the OpenTable collaboration with Facebook- Established a reputation as an advocate for user experience and product quality in the iOS organization.

As a member of the SproutCore Core Team, I was responsible for developing a touch-based gesture system for the mobile web. I gave multiple talks about SproutCore's event handling system and the gesture system.Acquired by Facebook November 2011.
