Established software development practice based on science, and lead the team of over a half dozen employees and contractors representing the entirety of US engineering operations. Worked directly with Product executives as well as engineering leaders internationally.

Jesse set the cultural tone for the engineering and product organization as the master app builder at Shake. Jesse coded the architecture, established and devised the tech roadmap and handled scheduling with the company founders. Shake was acquired by partners.

Jesse was the VPE, hands-on coder, coworker and technology coach of this venture funded startup. Jesse lead by experience and personal design, architecture coding skills. Attracting engineering talent and coding to a strict application design while leading a diverse team of artists and engineers.

Jesse created a successful iOS / mobile application lab that is responsible for shipping some of the first big-media and news apps in NYC, as well as startups and “hit” apps topping charts and selling in the millions. Jesse hired startup teams, designed and coded finished iOS products and established software process for mobile app development.

Jesse is a respected pioneer in social networking, predating both MySpace and Facebook. Jesse personally crafted the platform used by hundreds of social networking sites. NetModular had successful acquisitions and mergers, with some sites being quite large today, such as AlwaysOn/GoingOn. NetModular platform was acquired by partners in late 2007.

The first private equity trading system on the web. Jesse was CTO and founding software architect behind this SEC-validated startup creating a NASDAQ-like trading platform. As CTO, Jesse hired and managed the 40+ experts across four distinct departments. Round1 grew with prestigious funding rounds totaling in the tens of millions from high-value interests including Deutsche Bank.

Jesse coded innovative and novel, industrial quality frameworks and apps for mission-critical clinical and regulatory affairs system used at Genentech. MMH was a pharmaceutical partner-funded startup dedicated to modernizing medical systems at Genentech and merged with channel parters in 1998.

CyberSlice is historically curated at the Inventions of the 20th Century, Computer Science at the Smithsonian Institution. Jesse coded geo-commerce apps for history's first successful online food delivery and the origin of today's GrubHub. This geo-based product pre-dates google or yahoo maps and is a textbook landmark in software invention.

Jesse was a well known expert in Objective-C when he was hand-selected as a leader in the frameworks group for MCI and later ATT. This core experts group provided the APIs and foundations used by hundreds of developers across many teams and departments.

Jesse invented the App Store at this Seattle startup and personally demonstrated his invention to Steve Jobs who said only “I like it.”. The App Store is a software phenomenon, an invention deeply changing the world we live in by protecting the digital rights of artists and providing a means of income to creators, authors and inventors everywhere.

TAYLERmade was a sole proprietorship that launched Jesse's entrepreneurial career. Jesse first created software systems for businesses around Boston and later Seattle Washington, eventually creating his own line of TAYLERmade computers for business. This line of computers was popular with the many architects and legal offices in and around Seattle.
