Surveyed station protection relay settings and turbine protection systems, plotted in excel to demonstrate coordination of protection functions, adjusted non-compliant settings to internal standard, then distributed to HV team after review (per NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) standard PRC-019).Surveyed station relay settings and plotted against PRC-024 “no-trip-zone” to determine compliance. (NERC standard PRC-024).Developed Excel spread sheet to identify non-compliant settings, demonstrate over-current coordination, and recommended compliant pickup settlings. Worked with ESPs to correct MV bus over-current settings that had been previously miscalculated (NERC standard PRC-025).Gathered models acceptable by the TSPs/BAs, working with OEM or third party to convert older models to new standards. Realizing a need, developed a ‘library’ of PSSE, PSLF, and PSCAD models for reference and version control (NERC MOD-026/027).Developed measurement and testing procedure to collect staged test data, using either installed measurement devices or portable testing equipment. Oversaw staged tests, with onsite personnel or in person, coordinating with ROCC (Remote Operations Control Center). Provided support to third party for model validation. Reviewed and updated submissions throughout the year, according to each TSPs/Bas individual method/schedule. Supplied new submissions for newly COD sites (NERC standard MOD-032).
