Serving as the Director of Business Operations for this historic publication, I oversee all aspects that contribute to the Michiganensian's $453,100+ annual revenue. Business functions I support include budgeting, product pricing, event logistics, sales analysis and forecasting, strategic marketing, supply chain and inventory management, product expansions, customer inquiries, front-end website modifications, vendor correspondence, order processing, staffing, training, and payroll for our 30+ student staff members. Additionally, I report to the Office of Student Publications Professional Board, which consists of industry leaders working at companies such as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, CALmatters, and more. Board meetings track the financial progress of each publication and assist student leaders with strategic planning for innovations.Key responsibilities: • Utilize current YTD sales to forecast and create annual and monthly budgets which total over $419,900 in annual revenue for 2019-2020• Communicate with national vendors to coordinate graduation regalia sale events and professional portraits for Senior students to be included in our 123-year old publication• Evaluate event logistics, website functionality, and product offerings enhancing our customer experience with an emphasis on competitive pricing and efficiencyOther Results, Impacts, and Projects:• Expanded product line, optimized event logistics, resulting in 25% increase in YoY total profit • Increased YoY event revenue by $35,100+ with strategic marketing initiatives (see below) • Implemented new, online ordering system, resulting in 460+ orders and $23,200+ in revenue• Analyzed data on seasonal sales lowering product holding costs with rolling inventory method• Developed overstock repurposing model for previous years' inventory, saving $13,100+ in expenses• Automated order processing by connecting e-commerce site to Excel, phasing out two analyst positions

• Adapted account data compromise issuer recovery program using 5 years of fraud metrics, revising thresholds• Conducted due diligence on partners using eCredit, evaluating Risk and InfoSec controls for fraud consulting• Contributed to Account Data Compromise (ADC) fraud investigations, assisting with various cases
