Through the Community Reinvestment Initiative, we were able to support stable, sustainable projects that improve health outcomes for members and families within our 10-county catchment.

Program Coordinator for the 4-H W.A.Y. (Warren Advocating for Youth) program under the North Carolina Cooperative Extension (Warren Center) jointly connected to Warren County Government, North Carolina State University and North Carolina A&T State University.I, with the assistance of my team, organized and created a program operation manual for 4-H W.A.Y. (Warren Advocating for Youth) Program with Warren County Government targeting at-risk youth. Supervised 2 staff members and 32 volunteers (19 youth and 13 adults)

• Directed and managed the overall program of instrumental music for the district.• Provided students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities, including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades.Dynamic Marching MachineAfter Local High School Band was in jeopardy of ending, I became the Interim Band Director to continue schools band legacy and assist in keeping a positive program for Warren County Youth.

BGCA Directors Academy BGCA School of Management (Directors Institute for Executive Leadership)Through this partnership, WCS have afforded the opportunity to utilize their facilities, workspace at 4 schools, as well as, through the Food & Nutrition Department, assisted us in extended our feeding program to all of our club members. Each site receives a hot balanced dinner and snack every day. Through our efforts, Warren County acquired a three-year grant from the Kate B. Reynolds Foundation for $396,000 to assist with our club expansion in Warren County. This grant enabled us to lower club fees to make the services more affordable for our community, due to the grant ending next year, we are seeking to prevent placing the burden of raising our fees on our parents.Due to this grant we were able to launch 4 site extensions in 2016 and 2017, with the discussion of a possible high school site in the future. 16 Staff members supervised.

Alternative Learning ProgramI worked with students at Hawkins Education Center for the Alternative Learning Program. Created academic trackers for students to complete coursework, modify behaviors to return to assigned school. Actively engaged in communication with families and agencies to assist students in long-term success.Warren County Schools Strategic Plan CommitteeI was selected in 2012, to be a part of the Strategic Planning Committee that helped develop a comprehensive plan for closing achievement gaps between Warren County students of various racial and ethnic groups, as well as gaps between local student achievement and state averages. It was also designed to address strategies for improving the school system and develop action plans for goal development.

Drop Out Prevention Initiative through Warren County Schools • Plan, manage, and direct administrative activities related to retention, equitable outcomes, and success efforts for students.• Advising/student engagement experience with students and families (including tutoring/mentoring)• Assist with students from transition grades to acclimate in new school culture.I was instrumental in assisting over 20 students in Warren County Schools (8 + Program) Drop-Out prevention program. This program was designed to assist students at risk of aging out of school, to complete online coursework to fast track towards graduation. This program successfully assisted these students in completing their program and assisting them with various career goals.
