The Systems and Database Manager role extends to all areas of database management and maintenance within the company, as well as various interfaced systems. The role includes support for both head office and property based systems.

- The System Coordinator role extends to all areas of computer hardware and software within the company, as well as other interfaced systems. The role includes support for both head office and property based systems.- Hardware and software configuration and Installation.- Updating of all system documentation and procedures.- Troubleshooting of hardware and user problems.- Maintaining activity logs regarding hardware and system issues.- Cleaning of system libraries and the allocation of disk space to users.

- Controlling of all aspects of Hotel accounting, including Payroll, Payables, Receivables and the implementation of policy and procedures.- Supervision of Finance Associates during day-to-day operation.- Co-ordination and preparation of month end financial reporting, and reviewing performance and variances.- Assisting in the compilation and preparation of the GST returns for the Hotel.- Ensuring that the Hotel’s financial operations comply with all relevant state and federal legislation, and where discrepancies exist, advise on remedies.- Giving technical assistance to staff as required.

- Installing software and training staff in the use of the Micros-Fidelio range of products in various Hotels around the Asia Pacific region.- Maintaining these properties with post installation assistance and support.- Using client feedback to update and improve the Micros-Fidelio products.- Involved in demonstrations of Micros-Fidelio products to prospective clients.- Assisting with on-site software and hardware support issues

- Responsible for the management of all Hotel operations, during the hours between 10.00pm and 8.00am. - Areas of responsibility include Front Office, Concierge, Banquets, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Security, Reservations, Administration, Kitchen Operations, Public Relations, and Sales and Marketing.- Processing of the nightly audit of the Hotel, and preparation of preliminary daily figures for the Finance Department.- Responsible for guest safety and for the Hotel fire and emergency procedures.- Responsible for the health and safety of all employees on Hotel property during the above hours.- Responsible for the financial security and protection of the Hotel’s assets.

- Responsible for the day to day operation of the Front Office department in conjunction with the Front Office Manager.- Ensuring that the Front Office department provides a high profile of service at all times.- Conducting staff performance appraisals.- Co-ordination of all line-staff training and the setting up of training profiles for each individual. - Rostering and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.- Organising and chairing regular departmental meetings.- Processing of the various Frequent Flyer programs.- Keeping Front Office logbooks and diaries up to date on a daily basis.- Handling guest requests and opportunities in a professional and courteous manner.

Developing accounting skills as per company standards and procedures including: Accounts Payable/Receivable, Purchasing, Crediting, Cost Control, and General Cashiering.

- Training in all areas and aspects of Hotel property and procedures coinciding with relevant tertiary studies in Hotel Management.- Developing communication and people skills.
