The role originally oversaw the creation of the U13 Junior Girls side, but quickly expanded to all operational requirements and developing the female football program at the club. Recruitment of players via Auskick, scouting area/league try-outs and created word of mouth for further players to join via existing players and club families. Supported Coaching staff and Team Manager and was a mentor to all players and staff on game days. Liaised with our Female Football League, parents and club with regular updates on team performance and issues at committee level. Currently working towards building 2 new Youth Girls sides (Under 15 & Under 18) to join the Junior Girls in 2018 and start to create a clear pathway from entry age, right through to the possibility of senior female football in the near future. The exciting growth that's expected within the Female Junior/Youth area of football is one that the MJFNC is keen to nurture. In time, the club has the aim to become a further trusted and desired club for all aspiring female footballers to develop their skills and knowledge about the game and be confident in themselves to achieve higher levels of football and general personal development.Currently working on an overall "Female Football Development Program" covering strategies to attract and develop female players from Auskick, through to Junior Girls and onto Youth Girls level for the MJFNC. Committee Member, Junior Development Officer (JDO)This role is difficult to describe due to the range of subjects and roles it entails over any given week or situation. The job is defined as supporting the outcome of player development and ensuring those participating are fulfilling their potential and/or getting the most out of the programs being offered. It also carries welfare aspects and deals with supporting players and families where needed. The role delves into talent identification, policy and program development, coaching philosophies and numerous other aspects which guides our junior players to become their best. It also gives me the opportunity to also contribute to the recruitment of players, in particular from Auskick level and support these kids into junior players and beyond.I also had other various official and non-official roles around the club including, but not limited to... webmaster & website creation/management, Social Media Marketing & Branding, game day Ground Manager, setup/pack-up master, and other support roles at training or on game days.
