Hired as the Director of Gulf Coast and immediately opened an office so the company would have a presence in the Houston market. Promoted to Vice President in December 2016 and relocated to the Dallas, Texas area.Grew the Houston office to three people and opened an office in San Antonio. Responsible for providing brackish source water program development and oversight for Pioneer’s Permian Operations.Manage two senior level geologists in the correlation of oil well logs and contouring multiple geologic horizons for targeted development.Determine and propose well locations for brackish water development. Oversee field operations during water well installation, development, and putting well on production.Implement and manage source water well monitoring via remote sensing pressure transducers as well as water quality sampling program.Participate in groundwater modeling of particular areas of interest for brackish water development.Presented the group’s work at multiple internal and external conferences and events.

In this role, my initial focus was to provide guidance to Pioneer personnel on drilling and fracturing water sources. This included gathering data to perform long term monitoring of aquifers and develop strategies for proper sustainable development of the water sources.Provide data on water sources, assisted with the compilation of all data, and reviewed Sustainability Reports for Pioneer. Project manager for the Feasibility Study for Centralized Waste Facilities for Permian Operations. The goal of the project was to consolidate all waste to one company owned and operated facility.Served as a project manager for the initial Front End Engineering Study for Pioneer’s Water Management Plan. One major result from this study was the creation of Pioneer Water Management.Assisted our team with water treatment vendor evaluations (technologies, pricing, quality, safety, etc.). Developed and implemented a source water well sampling program for two Texas asset teams. Lead a small inter-company team to develop and implement corporate-wide brine pond/frac pit construction and operation standards. This was later taken over by Pioneer Water Management for implementation and construction of the new designs. I have extensive knowledge of bioremediation and as such assisted with legal and environmental corporate teams on standards and operating guidelines for the bioremediation of oil based mud. Initiated a feasibility project as it related to centralized treatment facilities for oil based mud waste. Reviewed and provided recommendations of new federal and state regulations as they applied to the oil and gas industry. Actively participated in various industry groups in this capacity. Participated and represented Pioneer in several industry water related trade organizations such as the Eagleford Water Consortium, Groundwater Protection Council, National Groundwater Association and Texas Oil and Gas Association Water Committee.

Responsible for starting new oil and gas services in the Dallas/Fort Worth and East Texas areas for Talon. In charge of the local marketing effort and searching out new opportunities within the region. Served as a senior project manager interfacing with other senior industry business and environmental managers to define scopes of work with a strong emphasis on health and safety and rapid site closure.Served as senior project manager for the assessment and remediation of salt water disposal well impacted site. Project included soil and groundwater assessment activities, soil remediation, and groundwater remediation. Served as senior project manager for the closure of an oil field lease in New Mexico. Closure activities included the overall project team management (consisting of two project managers, biological and ecological scientist, and construction teams consisting of foreman, operators, and laborers), multiple regulatory agency interaction and negotiation, soil and groundwater assessment activities, soil remediation activities, groundwater remediation activities, and access road reclamation and restoration. Served as project manager and client/regulatory liaison for emergency response and remedial activities associated with pipeline and oil and gas production releases in accordance with Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC).

Managed/conducted due diligence environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater investigations, landfarm construction and operation, immediate spill response and remediation, prepared various compliance plans and reports, management and oversight of project health and safety, and project budgeting and planning. Implemented company and client health and safety policies and plans. Conducted company and client required near miss/loss reporting, accident/incidient investigations, and root cause anlaysis. Responsible for being a health and safety steward to company employees and subcontractors. This included preparation of health and safety plans, conducting tail gate safety meetings, site health and safety audits, and Loss Prevention Observations. Served as the Office Manager for the CRA Lawrence, Kansas office . Responsible for starting the new office, hiring new employees from the local market, and managing the office for CRA. In charge of the local marketing effort and searching out new opportunities within the region. Participated/managed environmental site assessments and remediation projects for major oil/gas and pipeline companies, commercial and private companies, and governmental agencies and municipalities. Prepared remedial and corrective action plans for client and regulatory review, based on detailed evaluations of available and applicable remedial techniques. Wrote and coordinated the completion of a multitude of technical reports including: groundwater monitoring reports, various assessment reports, site closure reports, bid proposals, remedial action work plans, product recovery reports, remediation reports, Spill Prevention, Countermeasures, and Control Plans (SPCC Plans), Facility Response Plans (FRP), Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), and client and regulatory correspondence.

Provided field management and oversight in numerous projects related to: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Limited and Comprehensive Environmental Site Assessments, UST removal and remediation, and quarterly groundwater monitoring.Responsible for completion and oversight of subsurface field investigations.Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of field data and compilation of the data into technical reports.
