At Gestetner, I learned the hard knocks and the ins and outs of prospecting, cold calling, knocking on doors selling copiers and other office solutions to a variety of major corporations, religious organizations and schools and universities. Definitely something that everyone in sales should do!

Here I honed my telesales indoor sales skills working in a team environment to promote ad space to local clients. A complete departure from what I did since graduation....but a welcome challenge that I rose up to!

I was chosen out of BCIT to join the venerable retailer, The Bay, and it's young men's clothing department within menswear. Starting out as a management trainee, I was promoted to Assistant Department Manger within 3 months. Working alongside the manager and under the divisional manager was a great experience. I learned more about merchandising and budgets.
