As President and CEO of Ocean Breeze Communications, I am responsible overall for the smooth and efficient operation of the company. Together with my key personnel and all of our staff, we have brought OBC to the forefront of the telephone on-hold marketing and custom business audio services industry.

At Gestetner, I learned the hard knocks and the ins and outs of prospecting, cold calling, knocking on doors selling copiers and other office solutions to a variety of major corporations, religious organizations and schools and universities. Definitely something that everyone in sales should do!

Here I honed my telesales indoor sales skills working in a team environment to promote ad space to local clients. A complete departure from what I did since graduation....but a welcome challenge that I rose up to!

I was chosen out of BCIT to join the venerable retailer, The Bay, and it's young men's clothing department within menswear. Starting out as a management trainee, I was promoted to Assistant Department Manger within 3 months. Working alongside the manager and under the divisional manager was a great experience. I learned more about merchandising and budgets in 6 months than I did in all my time at BCIT. My programming skills came in handy at budget time and I was asked by many different senior managers to help them with preparing their budget runs. I ended up being promoted to Assistant Divisional Manager for what was then BayMart...then back to the main floor to help out with a variety of departments. I even had a brief stint as Assistant Divisional in draperies! Back to menswear to round out my experience and career with The Bay before the recession hit hard in 1985.
