Dr. Todd George, a licensed psychologist in the State of Georgia, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brevard College with his Bachelor of Arts degree in wilderness leadership and experiential education. He completed his Master’s of Education in counselor education from Clemson University. He earned his Doctorate of Psychology from the University of Indianapolis where he concentrated in child and adolescent psychology. Dr. George has provided psychotherapy and assessment in a variety of clinical settings, including residential child and adolescent treatment facilities, schools, community mental health centers, hospital-based outpatient programs, an adult inpatient program, a neonatal clinic, and private practice. He also has experience in research, program development, and training within the adventure therapy industry. Dr. George specializes in the assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders including posttraumatic stress, attentional problems, anxiety disorders, depression, and disruptive behavior disorders. Additionally, Dr. George has supervised experience and formal training in play therapy for children with grief and loss and post-traumatic stress. He also specializes in psychological evaluations, including psycho-educational, psychosexual, and parental fitness evaluations. Dr. George has been a guest lecturer on residential treatment for child and adolescent populations at Bard College in New York, as well as an instructor and educator on adventure therapy techniques. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Experiential Education (AEE) and an individual affiliate of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP).
