Specific experience includes: technical lead on behalf of public interest in FERC re-licensing efforts in NC and SC, evaluation of environmental operations requirements in CA and OR, assessment of river management on delta conditions for the Zambezi River and Okavango Delta, and conducting grant writing for the firm and its clients.

Visiting scholar at the Horsholm campus, financed by the University of Washington's Valle Scholarship and Scandinavian Exchange Program. Investigated methods to use a then-emerging technology (NEXRAD rainfall estimates) and then-emerging computational approaches (automated model calibration) to improve flood warning systems in the UK, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

Masters research evaluated how existing infrastructure (reservoirs) might be operated to reduce the negative impacts of climate change on the water supply, hydropower, flood control, and in-stream environmental requirements for both the Columbia River and CA Central Valley. The core finding was the emergence of irresolvable conflicts (shortages) by mid-century that would require policy (or legal) intervention to solve, even if dramatic changes in operations (high flood risks) were permitted.
