I like challenges and thrive in situations seen as such. I love learning new things and learn fairly quickly (especially music, technology, and the intersection of the two). I am also not against trying new things, in fact, I enjoy trying new things.Music-I have extensive experience performing. I have been performing on some level since upper Elementary School. Since the late 90's, I have led worship nearly every week. I have done this both solo and with groups of musicians. I have extensive sound system experience and knowledge. I studied the engineering side of music in college after dabbling in it for several years beforehand. Since college, I have installed a number sound systems for Central Indiana churches, run systems for live events, and have done troubleshooting for a number of other venues. I have taken it upon myself to learn new musical instruments. I have only had formal lessons and teaching on two instruments: piano and alto saxophone. I had a few instructional lessons with a friend of mine on drums, but I am largely self-taught on drums. On every other instrument I play, I am self taught, utilizing literature, my ears, my knowledge of music and chord structures, and other publications. These instruments include (but may not be limited to): keyboard instruments/synthesizers, organs, guitar (6 and 12-string varieties), mandolin, banjo, ukulele, dobro/resonator guitar, tenor and baritone saxophones, clarinet, flute, djembe (and other hand percussion instruments), and singing.IT-I have experience on both Mac OS and Windows based machines. Hardware-related computer experience includes replacing hard drives, disk drives, RAM memory, and PCI cards in both desktop and laptop computers and replacing chip boards and screens in laptops and mobile devices. I also have extensive knowledge and experience in network engineering, troubleshooting, security, and maintenance, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Project management, public DNS, and Microsoft 365/Azure Administration are also in my bailiwick.
