Articulate Labs develops wearable medical devices that augment regular activity to create convenient, mobile physical rehabilitation assistance any place and anytime. The first application of this platform technology will be in accelerating rehabilitation following knee replacement surgery through neuromuscular electrical stimulation of user's quadriceps muscles in synch with gait. Responsibilities include: * Serving as business founder of a medical device company; analyzed markets and chose initial point of entry, researched treatment state of art in orthopedics, and pitched organization to physicians, investors, experts, and stakeholders * Developing and continually updating business plan, presentations, multi-year budgets, revenue projections for primary/secondary indications, and financial statements that helped raise initial $500k in angel investment. * Researching, planning, and working on FDA 510(k) regulatory process, IEC 60601 compliance, GMP development, insurance reimbursement, and clinical trial strategy in conjunction with vetted consultants and industry experts. * Creating, managing, amending, and recruiting for a pilot trial protocol for evaluating KneeStim feasibility in conjunction with UT-Austin Ph.D.s.
