John serves in the areas of planning, corporate performance, organizational development, and fund development. He helps free leaders from business distractions to focus on accomplishing their mission. His passion is to see ministries and nonprofits thrive as they apply sound business principles to their operations and administration.

John applies his skills in business strategy, finance, planning, and organizational development to identify and drive operational efficiencies. He supports the translation of best practices into actions and implementation.

John implemented a flexible budgeting and rolling forecast financial model, successfully achieving performance targets relative to external market conditions. He formalized and established the grant-making process for the organization, creating a mechanism for insuring proper stewardship of funds.

President and COO (2003 – 2004)John focused on strategic portfolio decisions for solution offerings and partner relationships and internal improvements, including implementing a cash management process, resulting in reducing the days sales outstanding, reducing non-billable travel expenses, and increasing average billing rates.VP Consulting Operations (2001 – 2003)John conducted business process reviews, created solutions architecture design proposals, and created a formal project management methodology used by implementation teams. He also invested in the consulting organization, creating a structured consulting career path within the firm.

John provided business advisory services to start-up companies, including business plan reviews, capital structure scenario analysis, and investor introductions. He also developed and maintained forward looking financial models, monthly financial and board reporting packages, and weekly cash flow management models for early stage companies.

Territory Sales Manager (1997 – 2000)John managed account teams in complex sales cycles, utilizing solution selling principles to negotiate multi-product business analytics solutions.Consulting Services Manager (1996 – 1997)John established the Northwest Consulting Region, and was responsible building the practice and leading multiple project teams.Senior Consultant (1995 – 1996)John implemented budgeting, planning, business intelligence, and reporting solutions, and delivered conference sessions on balance sheet/cash flow planning and revenue/cost of sales planning.

John started his finance career with IBM, gaining experience in revenue and expense planning, strategic portfolio analysis, software royalty and cost accounting, inventory planning, manufacturing and overhead planning.
