    Purchased MIRS (Michigan Information & Research Service Inc.) with a partner in 1996. Since 1996, MIRS has grown from just over 100 subscribers to 4,000. Covering the Michigan Legislature, courts and the governor's office, MIRS provides government affairs professionals with the latest news and analysis of statewide politics. The company also offers a host of government affairs on-line tools including bill tracking and custom report generation. In 2013, a survey compiled by the Lansing polling firm of EPIC/MRA found that 60 percent of Lansing insiders (lobbyists, executive branch appointees and legislators) ranked MIRS newsletter as having the best news coverage of the Michigan capitol, outranking all other major state dailies, the Associated Press and other government newsletters. Surveys in 2007, 2009, and 2011 showed the same results.Member of the Board of Directors for National Online Legislative Associates, an organization of state house news and legislative tracking services from across the United States. The more than 20 NOLA states represent the cutting edge in public affairs news and software. Serves on the Board for the Michigan Political Leadership Program - a bipartisan training program for future state and local elected leaders run by Michigan State University's Institute for Public Policy and Social Research. 2008 alumni of Leadership Michigan, a leadership training program conducted by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Has served as a Judge for the Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP) Pinnacle Award, recognizing innovative programming by Michigan health plans serving the commercial and Medicaid communities.
