I produce a blog about mixed martial arts and the significant events within the MMA community. I named it “MMA Explained” as I want it to serve as a gateway into the more technical aspects of martial arts for new fans. My goal is to explain fighters and their styles, strategies, and habits and offer breakdowns on big upcoming fights that are finding their way into everyday conversations.

As an amateur Muay Thai competitor, I use my experience to both lead group classes and work individually with gym members to ensure that they understand the basics of the sport. I interact with members from a variety of training experience; from teaching other amateur fighters to introducing people with no prior martial arts training to Muay Thai. I offer private lessons outside of regular classes where I can more personally assist members and help them improve.

I serve as the face of the Recreational Sports Facility being the first employee that patrons see, interact with, and address questions to. I answer phone calls from patrons and directly address their questions and concerns. My responsibilities also include managing locker and towel distribution and ensuring the safety and security of the facility's locker rooms.

On top of weekly articles where I updated readers on the news of the rowing teams, I conducted interviews with coaches and attended regular editing meetings to ensure that my articles were properly formatted and up to The Daily Californian standards.
