Whether it’s 3D printed rockets, autonomous vehicles, next gen AI use or development, EVs, new manufacturing technologies and so much more, I am a technology enthusiast through and through. As an industry, insurance has developed substantially when it comes to addressing tech or cyber related risks - and there is much more development to come!Having been introduced to cyber insurance from the start at one of Ohio’s premier agencies, I knew it was a unique coverage line that would transform the industry and with the rapid rate at which technology grows - a coverage line that was needed by nearly all businesses at that time and for a long time to come. After having experienced the broker side of the business, I moved over to the carrier side starting as an Underwriting Associate. Learning coverage approach, strategy, and analyzation of risk from the carrier’s perspective was a key & helpful tool that would assist in the next steps in my career journey. After moving from Personal underwriting to Commercial and developing an underwriting book of my own, I continued to learn the uniqueness of new business and renewals from the commercial underwriting side. While excelling on the underwriting desk, technology related coverages as well as cyber grew extensively and became more widely purchased. As a passionate fan of technology and advancement, I wanted to be on the front lines assisting companies with their insurance decisions as it related to cyber and technology exposures.An opportunity presented itself to move across the country to Salt Lake City, UT to join one of the country’s best cyber, technology, and D&O brokerages. In Salt Lake I had the opportunity to assist entities of all sizes from small startups to publicly traded enterprises. With the opportunity to further transform passion into specialization, my cyber and especially Technology Errors & Omissions knowledge and capabilities moved to the top tier. While managing small to global all line insurance programs, I was presented with a unique opportunity.The Midwest had always been home but when the opportunity arose to join one of, if not, the top standalone Cyber & Technology team in the country at Hylant as their Tech E&O specialist, I could not pass it up. Our team is knowledgeable, versatile, adapts quickly to change, has a unique approach to coverage programs, and much more. We assist small, medium, and large organizations across the globe with their cyber and technology related risks by providing best in class and bespoke coverage solutions.
